Various activities in celebration of National Reunification Day
PANO - On the occasion of the 49th Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - 2024), on April 30, Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong offered incense at a temple of war martyrs in the Southeastern region in Tan An commune, Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province.
The event was attended by former Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Tran Don, Commander of Military Region 7 Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, Political Commissar of Military Region 7 Lieutenant General Tran Hoai Trung.

On the occasion, General Luong and delegates offered incense and laid flowers to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and fallen soldiers for their contribution to the revolutionary cause of the Party and people.
The deputy defense minister and delegates also joined a ceremony to inaugurate a Wooden House construction at the temple, aiming to serve visitors.
* The same day, Division 5, Military Region 7 organized meaningful programs to mark the 49th Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day.

Accordingly, the division directed affiliated units to carry out various activities, such as offering incense in tribute to war martyrs at a monument in Division 5’s barracks, organizing an art and cultural exchange, as well as holding folk games, among others. These activities contributed to educating troops about revolutionary traditions, and arousing their pride and determination to well fulfill assigned missions.
* Naval Region 2 also conducted a number of meaningful activities in celebration of the special event of the country. Accordingly, the troops paid tribute to fallen soldiers, joined sports exchanges, and collected trash in the locality.

The money collected from selling scrap was used to give three gifts (worth VND 1 million each) and 30kg of rice to local needy students.
