PANO – The Central Military Commission on January 15th reviewed the implementation of a resolution passed in 1999 on promoting studies and upholding the role of military history science in the current context.
Over the past time, relevant units have actively grasped and implement this resolution and applied their research results to reality, contributing to educating soldiers and people on the country’s traditions, and efficiently fighting the wrongful viewpoints of hostile forces.

Military history studies also helped strengthen people’s trust in the leadership of the Party, affirmed the national sovereignty, promoted the “Doi moi” (renewal) process, and performed the national construction and defence cause.
Addressing the event, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Cung, Deputy Defence Minister, requested them to continue to carry out the Party’s resolutions on national protection strategy and military history studies in the current context, as well as boost military history studies to build the revolutionary, standardized, elite and gradually modernized army.
