* On January 12, the Khanh Hoa provincial Military Command held a seeing-off ceremony for discharged soldiers who would return to their hometowns and home villages prior to the Lunar New Year festival (Tet).

Discharged soldiers receive gifts.

Reportedly, during their time in the army, they were equipped with basic knowledge of politics, combat tactics, and other specialized contents. 100 percent of them finished their assigned tasks.

Among the discharged soldiers, 15 were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam; 75 were chosen for follow-on training courses to further serve in the military and 30 were presented with certificates of merit for their good performances.

At the event, leaders of the command wished the discharged soldiers and their families a happy Tet and highly valued their service. 

The soldiers were requested to continuously promote the beautiful nature of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, join local reserve forces, contribute to local economic development and social order, and become successful civilians.

* On the same day, Regiment 19, Division 968, Military Region 4 returned 743 discharged soldiers to their home towns and villages in Central provinces of Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, and Thua Thien - Hue.

Among them, 36 were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam while 152 received certificates of merit at different levels.

* At the similar ceremony, the Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command handed over 94 Tet gifts of the Defense Ministry to its discharged soldiers.
