Demobilized troops asked to further uphold image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers
PANO - Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, member of the Party Central Committee, permanent member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and Deputy Defense Minister, on January 5 met and talked with troops of Brigade 144 under the VPA’s General Staff.
On the first days of 2019, the brigade is completing procedures and regulations to demobilize more than 600 troops who have done their national service. Among them, 108 were commended for their good performances and 22 were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam.

During the meeting, General Giang praised the to-be-demobilized troops for their efforts to study the State laws, VPA’s disciplines, and brigade’s regulations, and to fulfill their assigned missions.
The deputy minister hoped that the troops would continuously promote the beautiful nature of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and strive to be successful in life after returning to their hometowns and villages.
The general also requested them to further study as well as actively join local reserve forces to contribute to local economic development and social order.
