Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Trong Nghia pins the order on the Signal Corps' “Determination to win” military flag.

Over the past 75 years, signal forces have made big leaps in development, while fulfilling all assigned missions and deserving the trust of the Party, State, Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense (MND), and Vietnamese people.

In acknowledgement of their contributions and achievements in the two resistance wars against foreign invaders and in the cause of national construction and defense, the Signal Corps has been conferred with noble orders of the Party, State, and MND.

Addressing the event, General Nghia hailed and congratulated the unit on its great achievements and contributions over the past 75 years and requested it to thoroughly embrace the Party’s guidelines and policies on the implementation of military and defense missions. In particular, it should focus on the Resolution of the 8th session of the 11th Party Central Committee on national protection strategy in the new context, Resolutions of the 11th Military Party Congress and the upcoming 13th National Party Congress.

In addition, the Signal Corps should attach special importance to building a strong unit in terms of politics, raising troops’ strength and making recommendations to the CMC and MND in the management work of signal forces in the whole military.

The GDP’s Deputy Director also asked the corps to raise training and education quality in military units and schools, update advances in military arts and science and technology, and manage and master its equipment.

The corps should also raise its troops’ competence to meet all requirements in the current context and build a comprehensively strong party organization.

During the event, authorized by the State President, General Nghia presented the First-class Fatherland Protection Order to the Signal Corps.
