PANO - Senior Lieutenant-General Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy-Defence Minister, warmly received outgoing and newly-appointed US Defence Attaches on July 2nd in Hanoi.

At the reception, general Vinh appreciated Colonel Patrick Reardon’s office term and expressed gratitude to the outgoing US Defence Attache for his great contributions to boosting multi-faceted co-operations between Vietnam and the USA, especially in defence and security over the past time.

General Vinh also hoped that Colonel Earnest Lee, the successor of Colonel Patrick Reardon, would further promote the bilateral defence cooperation.

Colonels Patrick Reardon and Earnest Lee thanked the Defence Ministry of Vietnam for its assistance.

On this occasion, they expressed their wishes to contribute more to the development of the bilateral defence ties in the coming time.

On the same day, Lieutenant-General Vo Van Tuan, Deputy Chief-of-the-General Staff, received the US Colonels.
