The event saw the competition of 100 participants from weaponry depots in the whole military. The four-member team from the Vietnam People’s Navy won the first prize in the collective category and all the members of the team pocketed first and second prizes.

Joining the event, contestants showed their political knowledge and demonstrated their line-up regulation skills and professional competence. In the political knowledge content, each contestant was requested to write an essay about the tradition of the sector and send to the competition council 15 days before the opening ceremony. After performing unarmed line-up regulations, participants entered the professional competence demonstration part, during which they answered questions related to their work.

Lieutenant Colonel Vo Quang Dam, a contestant from Naval Region 5, said that questions at this year’s event were related to all aspects of the weapon and ammunition sector, requiring participants to have wide knowledge and rich practical experience. 

To prepare for the competition, the Weapon and Ammunition Division of the Technical Department advised leaders of the Naval Service to organize contests to select the best contestants for the whole military event and invited experts to answer the team’s questions.

The competition for heads of weapon and ammunition agencies and depot deputy chief in charge of weapon and ammunition at the strategic level in 2023 was an opportunity for units to evaluate their technical management officers’ comprehensive capabilities and share their experience in carrying out the work.
