PANO – The naval financial sector on May 27th celebrated its 60th traditional anniversary and received the Second-class Fatherland Protection Order.

At the ceremony, delegates reminisced about the sector’s development over the past time, firming up the growth of the Vietnam People’s Navy. From only two in-charge officers, the sector now has nearly 600 personnel, effectively ensuring financial work for tasks of the Navy.

Admiral Nguyen Van Hien, Deputy Minister of National Defence and Commander of the Navy, highly valued the efforts of the sector’s troops of various generations and urged them to strengthen the staff, and raise their political stance and expertise to effectively contribute to the Navy’s task fulfilment of firmly protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands.

Under the authorization of the State president, the general handed over the order to the naval financial sector.
