Lieutenant General Giang, member of the Party Central Committee, permanent member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Defense Minister, made that requirement while leading a mission of the Ministry of National Defense to inspect the academy on August 1.
At a meeting with the academy, Gen. Giang was briefed on its outstanding achievements on task performance in the 2016-2017 academic year. They included advancement in training and combat readiness, active grasp and settlement of emerging problems, and scientific research results that exceeded requirements.
Notably, the academy has always been proactive in bettering the building and development of a contingent of instructors and educational managers to further meet requirements on training and scientific research. Currently, all the academy’s instructors hold university degrees, more than 65 per cent of whom hold post-graduate degrees.
Hailing the academy’s good outcomes over the past time, Gen. Giang emphasized the academy’s coming missions as addressing shortcomings, especially in training programs and in combining training at the academy with the real combat training and maintenance of combat readiness of the naval force. The staff and trainees at the academy are to strictly observe military discipline and the State’s law.
