National Defense Academy awards nine military doctorates
PANO - The National Defense Academy held a closing ceremony for the 2019-2020 academic year on July 31 in the presence of its Director Lieutenant General Tran Viet Khoa.

During the 2019-2020 academic year, the academy opened 24 full-time courses for 1,057 trainees, including strategic and operational level cadres. 29 trainees successfully defended their military doctoral dissertations at the basic level and 33 others succeeded in defending their master theses. The academy also organized two operational and strategic operation exercises with flying colors.
Additionally, the academy opened a course for 26 international trainees from 16 countries and other short courses for Lao and Cambodian officers.
Addressing the ceremony, Gen. Khoa congratulated trainees on completing their courses and encouraged them to further their studies and apply the acquired knowledge to reality, contributing to building a military with synergy and high combat power.
On the occasion, the academy presented doctorates in defense studies to nine trainees and merit certificates to seven doctors and five masters, including four to Lao People’s Armed Forces, for their outstanding educational achievements.
