MR9 to increase quality of combined-arms team coordination in live-fire exercises
PANO – The Military Region 9 (MR9) Command, on November 27, held a live-fire field training exercise (FTX) at Chi Lang firing range in An Giang province.
The exercise was run amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, the MR9’s Party Committee and Chain-of-Command directed relevant units to conduct the FTX while ensuring strict observance of the disease prevention and control regulations.
Participating units, accordingly, did their utmost to prepare for and strictly carry out assigned contents of the exercise as planned, in line with reality, with good outcomes.
The exercise saw the close coordination among Division 330 and other brigades of MR9 and units of the Air Defense – Air Force Service.

Almost all of the targets were destroyed immediately after the first salvoes. The exercise ended successfully with absolute safety in both personnel and equipment.
Earlier, from November 18 to 21, Division 330 and other brigades accomplished a one-side, two-level command and staff exercise with tabletop and field contents, exercised combat readiness shifting to higher postures, prepared for combating, and tabletop addressing of arising situations during combat.

The event contributed to raising competence and leadership capabilities of commanding officers leaders at all levels, ability of combat preparation and implementation for troops while raising quality of coordination among participating units, especially in combined arms operations, in live-fire field training exercises.
