In 2023, the Party Committee and Command of the Commando Corps have focused their leadership on directing the whole corps to stay united, pro-actively weather difficulties, and comprehensively fulfill all duties with results higher than those of the previous year.

They have also actively studied, grasped situations, made suggestions to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on force building and development, procurement of weapons and equipment in the elite, compact and strong direction. In addition, they have directed organization of exercise, improvement of unit-building, and observance of combat readiness regulations.
Addressing the event, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Deputy Director of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP), asked the Party Committee and Chain-of-Command of the Commando Corps to pro-actively do research, evaluate and make precise forecast of situations, continue to advice higher levels on force building, combat readiness training, and provision of weapons and equipment for the commando force in the whole military, and more.
* Present at the meeting of Unit 969, Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Gau, Deputy Director of the GDP, requested its Party committee to keep renovating, actively carry out breakthrough aspects and contents in Project 4144 of the Ministry of National Defense to improve efficiency of the protocol and dissemination work.

The Unit 969 was urged to actively organize drills to improve troops’ combat readiness capability, and keep a close watch on situational developments, deal with situations in a timely manner, and ensure absolute safety for leaders of Vietnamese Party and State and foreign countries and their entourage, international tourists and local people to President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Relic Site K9. In addition, it should concentrate on building a contingent of officers and soldiers who are exemplary in their political and ideological qualities, morality, lifestyle and setting examples in words and deeds.
* Highly praising the Party committee and Command of the Armored Corps for their leadership over the task performance in 2023, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Nghia asked the committee to continue directing the unit’s affiliates to improve quality of training, exercises, education, use of forces and application of tactics in line with reality and modern warfare.
The corps’ Party committee was also requested to promote internal solidarity, democracy, enhance leadership capability and combat strength of all-level party cells.
