Reportedly, the military science and technology work has been implemented comprehensively and  synchronously, meeting the set requirements in close line with the resolutions of the Party, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense. The sector has renewed its management while providing breakthrough solutions for the leaderships at all levels to improve the quality and effectiveness of military scientific research and technology.

In addition, the implementation of scientific and technological projects at the national and defense ministry levels has been sped up, partly achieving important results in mastering the designs and the manufacturing technologies of weapons, materiel, and complex integrated systems. Notably, several projects have effectively served COVID-19 prevention and control work. The sector has also enhanced collaboration with domestic research units and applied technical advances to improving environment for training and combat readiness.

An overview of the event

In 2022, the sector plans to enhance breakthrough solutions in military science and technology and implement new projects at the defense ministry-level. On the other hand, the sector will promote scientific research to create new products serving combat readiness, master new weapons and materiel, and repair old ones.

Speaking at the event, Sr. Lt. Gen. Vinh required the sector to continue implementing higher levels’ resolutions and directives, applying advances of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to task performance, and speeding up research projects.

He also urged the sector to renew the management mechanism, collaborate with functional agencies to address difficulties, and accelerate technological cooperation and exchange.
