In 2024, the GDDI’s Party Committee has directed its affiliated units to successfully complete all tasks, many of which have been accomplished excellently. Notably, the GDDI has given recommendations to the Ministry of National Defense (MND), the Government, and the Politburo on many strategic policies and directions for the development of Vietnam’s defense industry. The GDDI has also contributed to the drafting of the Law on Defense and Security Industry, Industrial Mobilization. The GDDI has proposed many key programs and projects to enhance the capacity and potential of defense production, bringing both military and economic benefits; as well as actively implemented external affair and international cooperation tasks in defense industry sector.

In his speech, Sr. Lt. Gen. Pham Hoai Nam praised the achievements obtained by the GDDI in 2024, requiring that in 2025, the department should continue to effectively implement the directives and resolutions of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission (CMC), and the MND on the development of defense industry and the building of the military in the new era.
Meanwhile, it should focus on expanding international cooperation in defense industry; synchronously implementing solutions to build a strong Party Committee in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization, and personnel.
* On the same day, Gen. Nam attended and chaired the conference to issue leadership resolution on military and defense task implementation of the Party Committee of Military Region 1 (MR1).
In his remarks. Gen. Nam required the MR1’s Party Committee to focus on addressing its remaining issues; propose leadership solutions to fulfill the tasks and goals set by the 11th Military Party Congress; maintain its core role in building a whole-people's defense posture, effectively integrating national defense and security with the economy, and the economy with defense and security, to name but a few.
* On December 25, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Sr. Lt. Gen. Phung Si Tan directed the conference to issue leadership resolution for 2025 of the Party Committee of the Artillery Corps.

Gen. Tan required the corps to closely follow the situation of the artillery forces in the whole military; give advice to the MND on the organization and use of artillery according to operational plans to meet the requirements of national protection.
The GS deputy chief also noted that 2025 is a year with significant events, including Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress and various important national and military anniversary celebrations. Therefore, the corps should direct its affiliated units to fully achieve the remaining goals and targets set by the 14th Congress of the Artillery Corps Party Committee; effectively implement its advisory role to the CMC and MND on artillery work in the whole military; and continue to build a comprehensively strong and “typical and exemplary” corps, and more.

Applauding the outstanding achievements obtained by Military Hospital 185, Gen. Minh required the hospital to continue its leadership to raise the quality of professional capability; maximize the hospital's potential to develop high-tech and enhance the quality of diagnosis, emergency care, treatment, and healthcare services for military officers and people. The hospital should ensure military medical work for combat readiness and emergency missions, as well as soon complete and put into operation the 1,000-bed general hospital project.
