General Department II issues leadership resolutions for task implementation in 2024

Reports delivered at the conference revealed that under the leadership of the Party Committee of General Department II, its agencies and units have well carried out and excellently accomplished assigned missions. Notably, they have closely followed and accurately evaluated and forecast situational developments and made timely recommendations to leaders of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense to well handle strategic circumstances, actively and effectively contributing to the national construction and defense cause in the new period, maintaining political security and stability, protecting the nation early and from afar.

The general department has led and directed its agencies and units to take synchronous and comprehensive measures to effectively carry out military tasks, regularity building, and discipline management; ensure adequate logistics, technical services, and financial supplies for both regular and unexpected tasks.

Speaking at the event, General Giang praised the general department for the obtained achievements in 2023 and asked the party committee to closely follow the leadership and direction of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense; effectively carry out higher levels’ resolutions and directives with the focus on the Politburo and the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission’s resolutions on intelligence work.

He urged the Party Committee of General Department II to continue to pro-actively implement measures to enhance leadership capacity and combat power of party committees and organizations at all levels; comprehensively lead the implementation of all aspects of work; research, evaluate, and forecast situational developments to make recommendations to higher levels; focus on building a healthy and strong Party Organization and a comprehensively strong general department capable of excellently completing all assigned tasks.
