PANO – The General Staff opened the whole-army Military Intelligence and Reconnaissance Contest in 2012 on December 10th in the presence of Lieutenant-Generals Nguyen Quoc Khanh and Pham Xuan Hung, Deputies Chief of the General Staff.
This year’s competition draws 500 cadres and soldiers from 15 professional teams in the whole-army units to compete in categories of intelligence and reconnaissance plans, military geographical locations, unarmed line-up regulations, martial arts, military gun shooting, and skills in swimming and fighting, and arresting enemies, to name but a few.
The event aims to evaluate combat readiness’ quality of troops as well as provide a good chance for them to promote their professional skills to meet the demands of coming assigned tasks.
Addressing the opening ceremony, general Khanh asked the jury board and contestants to thoroughly grasp the competition’s targets and regulations to make the contest a success. The contest will end on December 18th.
