Particularly, on July 11, the hospital suspended receiving inpatients and outpatients as well as medical examinations to focus on the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
Patients under treatment other than COVID-19 ones were moved to Thu Duc General Hospital and Military Hospital 4 (Army Corps 4).
In a short time, the hospital quickly prepared personnel, medical equipment, and protective suits to receive around 400 infected cases for treatment.
Earlier, the hospital also detected, quarantined and treated 30 SARS-CoV-2 infected cases.
Despite the high risk of being exposed to COVID-19, doctors from the Internal Medicine Department of the hospital did their utmost to treat infected cases, contributing to the containment of the pandemic.
