Over the past years, the hospital has well performed military medical work and taken care of troops and people’s health in the Truong Sa archipelago.
The health management, emergency aid provision, and transport of wounded, sick and troubled patients at sea and on islands have been carried out by the hospital in a close and effective manner. On-duty medical personnel have always heightened their responsibility to overcome all difficulties and complete all assignments, meeting task requirements, and consolidating trust of both troops and islanders. The hospital’s staff have taken turns to work at Truong Sa island infirmary.

The delegation included young doctors, nurses, and technicians with good expertise from different departments of the hospital. Among them, non-commissioned Major Than Van Dung, a technician from the Department of Blood Transfusion, volunteered to perform duties in Truong Sa island district for the second time.
Speaking at the event, Senior Captain Nguyen Xuan Cuong from the Department of Neurosurgery affirmed that it is an important political task, offering an opportunity for young medical staff to dedicate themselves and develop, contributing to protecting national sovereignty over sea and islands.

Major General Tran Quoc Viet asked the delegation to promote the achievements of former generations and uphold solidarity and support each other in daily life and work. Young staff should devote all their capabilities and overcome difficulties to accomplish the task of taking care of troops and people’s health.
Meanwhile, they should closely coordinate with military units stationed in the district to conduct mass mobilization work, actively improve their physical strength and build a comprehensively strong unit.
