Telehealth has created a “flat world” in medical sector. This world could not be hindered by geographical distance. Thanks to it, the distance between central and local medical establishments and among hospitals around the world has been removed.

At present, remote examination and treatment is an important method to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic and reduce pressure on upper-level hospitals. Through the system, medical staff could easily exchange experience to raise their professional expertise.

Over the past time, Le Huu Trac National Institute of Burns has actively applied information technology to giving professional assistance to colleagues from other hospitals and health consultation to its patients. By using health applications and software, the institute has helped save patients with serious illnesses and raise medical workers’ expertise.

The official expected that the system will operate effectively, contributing to bringing into play the institute’s leading role in patient treatment and connecting the institute with medical establishments in provinces and cities across the country. He also hoped that Telehealth will help raise professionalism of medical staff from lower-level hospitals, so as to reduce overload in upper ones and raise patients’ trust and satisfaction in the whole medical system.

In the coming time, the institute will take new measures to promote remote healthcare activities, cooperate with lower-level medical establishments, update new treatment protocols and new modern techniques to raise the quality of examination and treatment.

After the launch, experts of Le Huu Trac National Institute of Burns provided health consultations for patients in different places through the system.
