Institute of Techniques for Special Engineering receives noble title
PANO – The Institute of Techniques for Special Engineering under the Military Technical Academy (MTA) held a ceremony on October 25 in Hanoi to receive the “Hero of the People’s Armed Force” title. The event saw the attendance of Deputy Defense Minister Sr. Lt. Gen. Be Xuan Truong and former Deputy Defense Minister Sr. Lt. Gen. Truong Quang Khanh.
At the ceremony, delegates recalled the 50-year history of the institute with remarkable achievements, contributing to the development of the MTA in particular and the military in general.
Over the past recent decade, the institute has trained 1,000 trainees with degrees of masters and doctorates and nearly 2,000 civilian and military engineers, including trainees coming from Laos and Cambodia.
In this period, the institute also carried out hundreds of scientific research projects at various levels.
Speaking at the event, Sr. Lt. Gen. Truong acknowledged the institute’s achievements over the past 50 years, and asked them to continue bringing into full play their results, renewing training programs, and improving the quality of scientific research.
Also, he urged the unit to grasp designs, technical and engineering requirements when building special defense construction projects.
