Inspection of preparations for the 8th Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange

The inspection delegation included Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan, Political Commissar of the Vietnam Border Guard Command; Major General Hoang Huu Chien, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Vietnam Border Guard Command; representatives from agencies under the Vietnam Border Guard Command and the Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard Command.

During the inspection program, Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai checked the venues where various activities of the exchange are planned to take place, such as the reception area for delegates at the Lao Cai International Border Gate, the area for the sovereignty landmark painting ceremony, the area for planting trees of friendship at the intersectoral management building of the Lao Cai International Border Gate; the area for the inauguration of the Vietnam-China border friendship cultural house in Ban Phiet commune, Bao Thang district, Lao Cai province. In addition, he inspected the preparation for the gift-presenting event to be hosted by the two Ministers of National Defense at Kim Dong Primary School in Coc Leu ward, Lao Cai city; and the service for delegates who visit the Border Post of Lao Cai International Border Gate.

After directly inspecting the venues and hearing reports from relevant agencies, Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai highly appreciated the preparation made by units and agencies. He also asked them to make some additional plans, scenarios and methods of organization, thoroughly review all aspects of the work to ensure that the 8th Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange will proceed as planned and be a great success.

The leader of the Border Guard Command stressed the significance of the Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange in enhancing the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries. Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai urged the Vietnam Border Guard Command's functional agencies to pro-actively coordinate with relevant agencies to complete all assigned tasks, actively supervise the task implementation, address emerging issues, and ensure the smooth and successful implementation of the exchange program.
