At the event, a representative of the delegation reported on the outcomes of the legislature’s eighth session which lasted nearly 30 days. He emphasized the N.A.’s approval of the Law on the People’s Air Defense, a law on amending and supplementing several articles of the Law on the Officers of the Vietnam People's Army with most of deputies voting in favor.

Voters made proposals on matters related to military, defense, policies for troops and their families. Some voiced their attention to effective solutions to streamlining administrative apparatus and ensuring housing and land for those in the armed forces.

Addressing the event, Gen. Giang spoke highly of the glorious tradition of Division 346 and expressed his delight at the growth and achievements gained by the troops over the past time.

An overview of the meeting

He gave them key information about the military and defense work discussed at the freshly-concluded sitting of the 15th N.A.

The defense leader emphasized that during the eighth sitting, laws built by the Ministry of National Defense were passed with the almost absolute votes in favor. He attributed that results to thorough, serious and quality preparations of the ministry’s functional agencies and units, and their collection of opinions from experts and civilian and military functional agencies.

Given complicated situational developments in the region and the world, Gen. Giang  asked the unit’s troops to maintain combat readiness posture, pro-actively renovate training, improve their techno-tactical skills, combat capabilities, stay ready to undertake and complete all assignments.

Regarding upcoming celebration activities, he requested the division and other units stationed in the area to organize them solemnly, meaningfully, and safely in all aspects.

Gifts presented to some troops whose families are policy beneficiaries

On the occasion, N.A. deputies and Gen. Giang presented gifts to some collectives and 30 individuals of the division and the Military Command of Phu Luong district under the Thai Nguyen provincial Military Command.
