PANO – The General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army on August 29th held a ceremony to assign tasks for 220 officers to be trained in 15 foreign countries in 2014.

Addressing the ceremony, Senior Colonel Le Duc Manh, Deputy Director of the Department of Personnel requested these officers to uphold their firm political and ideological stance, be loyal to the Party’s revolutionary cause and strictly observe Vietnam’ and these countries’ laws and military external affairs regulations while protecting all the State and military secrets.
Besides, the trainees were asked to promote solidarity among them and international friendship, raise their self-discipline and take all advantages to acquire scientific and technical knowledge to apply them in army and Party building in the future.
Over the past years, more than 4,000 officers sent to study abroad by the Vietnam People’s Army have completed their training courses and over 70% of them gained good and excellent results.
