Former defense leader receives 65-year Party membership badge

The event was attended by Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, and Deputy Defense Ministers Senior Lieutenant Generals Le Huy Vinh, Vo Minh Luong and Pham Hoai Nam. Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) Senior Lieutenant General Do Can, and Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan were also present at the ceremony.

Addressing the event, General Giang congratulated General Tra on receiving the noble Party membership badge, affirming that the badge demonstrates the Party’s recognition of General Pham Van Tra’s great achievements and devotion to the revolutionary cause of the Party and military.

Over the past 65 years, General Tra has held many important working positions. In any circumstances, the former defense minister has always been loyal to the Party, nation and people; done his utmost to best perform all assigned tasks, deserving the trust of the Party, State, military and people.
