During the event, both generals delivered remarks and signed the handover minutes.
Gen. Quyet, who has been appointed as head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, expressed deep emotion upon completing his tenure as Chief of the GDP. He stressed that over the past years, the Party’s ideological foundation has always been upheld in the military while the Party’s absolute and direct leadership over all military affairs have been guaranteed. He affirmed that despite challenges, agencies and units across the military have always fulfilled every political mission. With 41 years of military service, he pledged to promote good qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and remain dedicated in his new assignment.

Assuming his new duties, Gen. Nghia expressed his pride of and deep sentiment with the military, the GDP and comrades. He emphasized that the Party, the State, the Politburo, the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, and especially Party General Secretary To Lam place great trust in the military, particularly the GDP, a strategic advisory body responsible for all Party and political work in the armed forces.
Gen. Nghia highlighted the military’s synergy, bravery and regularity in all spheres, from combat readiness, disaster relief, peacekeeping, to defense diplomacy. He underlined that the Party and political work has been implemented comprehensively, effectively, laying a firm foundation for the growth of the military.

The newly-appointed GDP chief acknowledged the contribution of previous leaders, particularly Gen. Quyet, in Party building, political and ideological education, culture, external information, and protection of the Party’s ideological foundation. He affirmed that the GDP will continue its 81-year glorious tradition, effectively implement the five key tasks assigned by Party chief To Lam, and strengthen close coordination with other sectors and departments.
He stressed that the GDP would well perform its advisory role in terms of politics, ideology, culture, Party’s ideological foundation protection as well as the importance of innovation in information dissemination, and digital transformation in Party and political work, contributing to building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modernized military.
