Discharged soldiers asked to further uphold the military’s traditions
PANO – Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang met with guards of Brigade 144 under the General Staff on January 9 who have accomplished their military service
Reportedly, there are 600 discharged soldiers from 68 districts, cities, and towns in 11 Northern provinces. Among them, 149 completed their missions with outstanding records and were presented with merit certificates.

On this occasion, General Giang hailed the great efforts of the guards in ensuring absolute safety for the Ministry of National Defense and their good task performance.
The Deputy Defense Minister underscored that after completing the military service and returning home, the demobilized soldiers should preserve and promote the heroic traditions of Uncle’s soldiers, contributing to developing the country and their hometowns.
