Defense mission inspects construction of Phan Thiet Airport project
PANO – The BinhThuan provincial People’s Committee should allocate land for the expansion of the airport, which will serve both military and civilian purposes. The airport will contribute to defense and security consolidation and socio-economic development in the current context.
The request was made by Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Tran Don while inspecting construction of the Phan Thiet Airport project in BinhThuan province on February 11.

During the visit, General Don highly appreciated the province’s efforts in completing all the paperwork and clearing more than 540 hectares for the project. He affirmed that the Ministry of National Defense will work with the provincial People’s Committee to handle challenges and form working missions to complete the project.
General Don also asked relevant defense agencies and military units to make recommendations for the Ministry of National Defense, central agencies and industries, and the provincial People’s Committee on how to carry out the project in line with the laws and regulations.
