At the conference, leaders of the Ministry of National Defense and Director of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People's Army awarded 40 collectives and 20 individuals representing collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the implementation of Conclusion No.01-KL/TW of the Politburo and Resolution No.847-NQ/QUTW of the CMC.

In his concluding remarks, General Phan Van Giang applauded the remarkable efforts of officers and soldiers in the whole military, including typical collectives and individuals in the implementation of Conclusion No.1 and Resolution No.847; timely advice of functional agencies of the GDP; and the pro-activeness and activeness of the CMC’s supporting section in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle.
The defense minister affirmed that the implementation of the Conclusion No.1 and Resolution No.847 in the Military Party Organization and the whole military obtained significant outcomes, thereby raising awareness and heightening responsibility of officers, Party members and employees in the whole military of studying and following the example of Uncle Ho through practical and specific deeds; and upholding the spirit of overcoming difficulties and hardships to accomplish all assigned missions, contributing to beautifying the tradition “Determined to fight, determined to win” and brightening up the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the new situation.
Meanwhile, the dissemination and education work on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and lifestyle, and promoting the virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and resolutely fighting individualism in the new situation has been carried out comprehensively with various contents and forms. Party Committees and chains-of-command at all levels combined the implementation of Conclusion No.01 and Resolution No.847 with the “Determined- to-win” emulation movement and campaigns at all levels.
In the time to come, the CMC required the whole military to continue to strictly implement Conclusion No.01 and Resolution No.847 to achieve more comprehensive results. General Phan Van Giang also asked the Party Committees, the Party organizations, political commissars and officers, and commanding officers at all levels to effectively implemented following key contents:
Firstly, the Party committees and Party organizations at all levels under the Military Party Organization and the whole military should continue to grasp Conclusion No.01 and Resolution No.847 associated with studying, researching and implementing resolutions and action programs on implementing resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress, 11th Military Party Congress, and all-level party congresses.
Secondly, the whole military should actively study and creatively apply Ho Chi Minh’s viewpoints on whole-people defense and military building, contributing to well implementing strategic advisory role to the Party and State on military and defense and military building in the new situation; while focusing on researching, supplementing and perfecting theoretical thinking on military and national defense and military building in new conditions, and promoting the core role in building the whole-people national defense and the whole-people defense posture associated with the people's security posture.
Thirdly, continuing to implement the major contents related to Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and lifestyle and Uncle Ho’s soldiers’ qualities in the new situation, and strictly maintain registration and commitment to the study and training of officers, party members and other employees.
Fourth, closely combining the implementation of Conclusion No.1 and Resolution No.847 with the performance of political tasks and Party building, as well as resolutely fighting against individualism and manifestations of the degradation in political ideology, ethics and lifestyle, and the “self-evolution” and “self-transformation.”
Fifth, strengthening the role of leadership and direction of Party committees, political commissars and officers, and commanding officers; heightening the role, responsibility and self-discipline to set an example of officers and party members; and promoting the advisory role of political agencies at all levels so that the movement of studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s example would go deep into troops’ daily life.
Sixth, innovating the content, methods, and forms of learning, dissemination, and education on Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, lifestyle, and the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in a practical and effective manner, while promoting composing activities and popularization of literary and artistic works, and newspaper publications, and enhancing the role and efficiency of Steering Committees 35 at all levels in the fight against wrongful and hostile views.
Seventh, improving the efficiency of the inspection and supervision and timely detecting and overcoming shortcomings and limitations and strictly handling violations of Party organizations and members. Meanwhile, the whole military should maintain the review of activities to draw experience and honor outstanding collectives and individuals at all levels.
With high political determination, great efforts and solidarity, the CMC and MND believed that the whole military would successfully fulfill all missions assigned by the Party, State and people, deserving the commendation of President Ho Chi Minh for the military: “Our military is loyal to the Party, filial to the people, willing to fight and sacrifice for the Fatherland’s independence and freedom and for socialism. We will fulfill any tasks, overcome any difficulties and defeat any enemies.”
