After reviewing the program’s contents and listening to the reports of the Vietnam Coast Guard Command, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien applauded efforts of relevant units in preparation for the exchange program. He noted that the Vietnam Coast Guard Command should continue embracing directions of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense and instructions of functional agencies, collaborating well with relevant units to adjust and complete the set plan, especially focusing on translation and interpretation and welcoming ceremonies for participating guests with politeness and safety.

As scheduled, the first “Vietnam Coast Guards and friends” exchange program will take place on December 10 in Hanoi with the participations of the host Vietnam Coast Guard Command, the Cambodia National Committee for Maritime Security, the China Coast Guard, the Indonesian Sea and Coast Guard, the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, the Philippines Coast Guard and the Thailand Maritime Enforcement Coordinating Center.
