Over the past time, the Khanh Hoa provincial Military Command has strictly implemented resolutions, orders and directives of higher levels on defense and military tasks, regulations and instructions on combat readiness work. Meanwhile, the command has coordinated with other forces to perform combat readiness during holidays and important events in the locality.

The provincial Border Guard Command has effectively carried out border guard work, combat readiness observance, natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue operations; ensured security and order in maritime border areas; and collaborated with other forces to follow situations and give recommendations to high levels on border guard force, among others.

In his remarks, Sr. Lt. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien spoke highly of the task performance of the two units, requiring them to successfully organize activities in response to the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People Defense Festive Day.

The provincial Military Command should continue to promote its advisory role in the building of firm defensive areas; strictly maintain combat readiness observance; work with other forces to ensure safety during important political events; and direct and organize exercises at all levels, to name but a few.

For the provincial Border Guard Command, the deputy defense minister requested the command to continue to coordinate with relevant forces to manage and protect national sovereignty and security at sea; synchronously implement measures to prevent and combat seafood exploitation and illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing; actively participate in natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue operations; maintain high combat readiness posture; promote fighting against all types of crimes in maritime border areas; well organize tactical drills and defense competitions, and more.
