In the first month of this year, the military region’s Party Committee led local military units to strictly maintain combat readiness, cooperate with other forces in embracing current situations in border areas, and deal with incidents in a timely manner, contributing to firmly maintaining political security and public order in the region. The military region also inspected its affiliated units’ combat readiness and preparations for the 2020 Lunar New Year Festival and their plans to ensure security for the celebration of the 90th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Military units in the region were also asked to make preparations for the upcoming training season.

Regarding the response to the sophisticated development of the novel coronavirus, the General asked the military region to prepare facilities and develop plans to receive Vietnamese citizens returning from China.

During the visit, the delegation offered incense at the President Ho Chi Minh Statue, visited a commemorative house of Uncle Ho, and planted trees on the island.
