Defense delegation inspects combat readiness of units in Central Highlands region
PANO – A defense mission, led by Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh, inspected the Dak Lak provincial Military Command’s and Border Guard Command’s combat readiness prior to the 13th National Party Congress and their preparations for the upcoming Lunar New Year on January 6.
During the inspection, the mission was briefed on the units’ task performance over the past time and their combat readiness plans for the upcoming 13th National Party Congress. General Binh and delegates also inspected the combat readiness of the Armored Company under the Dak Lak provincial Military Command and agencies under the provincial Military Command and Border Guard Command.
At the meeting with the units’ representatives, General Binh praised the provincial armed forces for thoroughly embracing and strictly carrying out the Ministry of National Defense’s directive on ensuring combat readiness and security during the 13th National Party Congress and Lunar New Year Festival 2021. He also highlighted the units’ efforts in building a combat readiness plan and measures in line with reality.
The general asked the units to conduct inspections to ensure the strict observance of combat readiness regulations and military discipline and practice combat readiness scenarios. The Dak Lak provincial Military Command and Border Guard Command should also deal with all circumstances in a timely and effective manner to ensure absolute safety for personnel and equipment and cooperate with localities to conduct mass mobilization activities and fight schemes of hostile and reactionary forces.

He added that together with firmly safeguarding national sovereignty and security, the Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command should closely follow situational developments to prevent illegal migration, contributing to controlling the COVID-19 pandemic. The province’s border guard units should also work with local leadership to ensure residents in border areas have a happy and cozy Lunar New Year Festival.
