Combat readiness to be promoted in the first quarter of 2021
PANO – The General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army held a conference on December 31, chaired by its Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, to review the implementation of combat readiness regulations, discipline observance and guarding of the agencies and units under the General Staff, stationed at the Ministry of National Defense Headquarters in the fourth quarter of 2020.
Over the past three months of 2020, all agencies and units under the General Staff have strictly maintained combat readiness and observed military discipline and guarding regulations while ensuring political security and social order in the areas around the Ministry of National Defense Headquarters.

Addressing the event, General Tan affirmed that in the first quarter of 2021, the military units under the General Staff should continue embracing higher levels’ directions on the implementation of combat readiness and political education, follow local situations and conduct more patrols to ensure public order and security around the National Defense Ministry Headquarters.
In addition, they should also care for troops’ health and ensure safety during training, as well as prevent traffic incidents.
