PANO - The Defence Ministry has given VND 2 billion to Nghe An Provincial People’s Committee as support for building a memorial to General Chu Huy Man at Hung Hoa commune, Vinh city.

On behalf of the ministry, Lieutenant General Dao Duy Minh, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, on May 3rd, handed over the money from the “Gratitude Fund” of the Defence Ministry to the committee.

The memorial, built in the general’s home town, was unveiled on March 14th on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the general’s birthday (March 17th).

General Chu Huy Man was the former Vice President of the State Council, former Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Party Committee and former Director of the General Department of Politics.

Also on May 3rd, Lieutenant General Minh presented 2 gifts to social policy beneficiaries in Hung Hoa commune.
