PANO – State President Nguyen Minh Triet has lately signed Decision 210/2007/QD-CTN to confer the Ho Chi Minh Award on Defence Ministry research named “Vietnam’s revolutionary wars during 1945-1975: Victories and lessons”.
The award was proposed by the National Award Council and Science-Technology Ministry. The research is on the scientific and technical significance of the development of Vietnam’s military and war art. The research also compiles a military theory system to review activities during the wars in the country and the build-up of the Army and people’s national defence forces. The research results have been creatively and flexibly applied in the current cause of national construction and defence.
The research is the product of 16 senior Army officers and researchers: Van Tien Dung, Doan Khue, Senior Lieutenant-General Tran Van Quang, Lieutenant-General Pham Quang Can, Lieutenant-General Tran Quang Khanh.
The State President also signed a decision to confer the State Award on the project “5 specialised cryptographic devices in the period 1990-2002: MC-1M, PVNG-412, DCT-98, SP-01 and VR-01” of the Government’s Coding Department.
