Over the past time, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command has closely coordinated with the border guard commands of Kien Giang, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, and Ca Mau provinces, and Border Guard Flotillas 48 and 28 in information exchange to thoroughly grasp regional situations, so as to promptly deal with issues related to sovereignty and political security protection, as well as prevention and fight of crime and violations in accordance with the State’s laws.

At the signing ceremony, the sides agreed to foster information sharing to update situations at sea and islands, strengthen the implementation of patrol, inspection, and control duties at sea, and promote prevention and fight against law violation and maritime crimes.

Meanwhile, the units will work together to draw up effective measures for natural disaster prevention, search and rescue at sea, and address issues related to the maritime environment.

Additionally, they will boost law dissemination and education and open more refresher courses to raise troops’ competence, among others.

Based on each unit’s assigned tasks, they need to flexibly and timely support each other and proactively deal will all unexpected problems to ensure solidarity and absolute safety in all aspects, contributing to maintaining political security, order, and safety of sacred sea and islands of the country.
