Accordingly, the command mobilized more than 10 thousands participating troops and vehicles to undertake hundreds of disaster consequence mitigation and search and rescue missions, including forest fires, floods, accidents, etc., helping and rescuing more than 45,000 people and more than 2,000 vehicles hit by disasters. Especially, the close management of the command has helped fishermen considerably in finding shelters during storms, partly contributing to reducing loss for fishermen.
In order to uphold the recent achievements and well carry out missions in the coming time, the command will continue improving education and dissemination among troops, making them well understand that disaster consequence mitigation and search and rescue activities are combat missions of soldiers in peacetime.
