Three distressed fishermen brought ashore safely
The three troubled fishermen are Rahmat Syukur Siregar, Juli Yenki Siahaan, and Reifaldi Estendi Bisa, from Indonesia.

Earlier, the border post received a call from a fisherman who had discovered an object drifting five nautical miles from My Thanh estuary. The unit immediately formed a working team to cooperate with trawler ST 2539TS of Tran Van Khai from Mo O village, Trung Binh commune, Tran De district and rushed to the scene.

Reaching the scene, the team requested the Maritime Administration of Can Tho for help and at 13:30 on March 4, the barge was safely towed ashore. The Indonesian fishermen were provided with accommodation and health check-ups by troops of the Bai Gia Border Post.

Later the same day, they were handed over to the Maritime Administration of Can Tho.
