The exercise focused on contents such as shifting the locality to an urgent defense state, declaring martial law, tasking troops with evacuating people to a safe area and opening wartime classes in the locality, and running a live-fire exercise in which an infantry battalion attacked enemy landing operations.
During the exercise, the participating forces performed economic-defense-combined tasks, strictly observed the regulations, ensured security and order, and promoted military-civilian ties. Notably, the participating forces, vehicles and equipment were all safe.

Addressing the closing ceremony of the exercise, Major General Nguyen Hong Thai, Commander of Military Region 1 (MR1) and head of the steering board of the exercise of MR1, applauded the good results of the exercise.
General Thai asked relevant agencies of MR1 and the province to further study and make clear new concepts such as curfew, martial law, evacuation of people from the center of gravity.
The provincial authorities were requested to arrange evacuation zones for all sectors, take the initiative in any military contingencies, work out approaches to effectively mobilizing human and material resources when the locality is shifted to a wartime state. Bac Giang should build a province rich in economy and strong in politics, defense and security.
At the ceremony, the provincial People’s Committee presented merit certificates to 27 groups and 29 individuals with good results during the exercise.
