Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan, Political Commissar of the Vietnam Border Guard Command, and Nguyen Van Tho, Chairman of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau provincial People’s Committee, attended the ceremony.
Reportedly, over the past 50 years, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau provincial Border Guard Command has promoted its pioneering and creative role, contributing to protecting national border, building political system in border areas, and ensuring political security and social order. The force has actively supported and provided a firm foundation for local people and contributed to building a whole-people defense system and a firm people’s security posture.
The Ba Ria - Vung Tau provincial Border Guard Command has also effectively managed and protected national border. They have built a high-quality border guard force, innovated working methods, attitudes, and enhanced administrative reform and digital transformation, particularly in managing illegal border crossings.

The force has also made recommendations and well managed immigration and emigration, launched several programs and models in border areas, so as to protect national sovereignty and border security, while participating in building and strengthening political systems and developing the economy, culture, and society, as well as reducing poverty in border areas.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Political Commissar of the Vietnam Border Guard Command congratulated the Ba Ria - Vung Tau provincial Border Guard Command and urged the unit to continue implementing the directives and resolutions of the higher levels.
