Agencies, units asked to promptly continue post-Tet tasks

Report delivered at the meeting confirmed that during the lunar New Year (Tet) holidays, the whole military well conducted political education and thought management. Agencies and units pro-actively coordinated with local party committees, authorities, organizations to disseminate information so that local people strictly observed the Party’s guidelines, and the State’s policies and laws, and local regulations.

In addition, the spiritual and material life of officers and soldiers on-duty and their families during Tet was paid attention. Moreover, activities of troops, especially those on the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago, on DK1 platforms, in border areas and on islands were covered vividly. All troops had a cozy, safe, economical Tet holiday with high combat readiness posture.

In his speech, Gen. Luong Cuong asked the whole military to keep realizing the Central Military Commission’s resolutions, plans and directives on Party and political work in the remaining time of February; and start the training season. He asked for the review of the preparation for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory and the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army as well as the 35th years of the Whole People’s Defense Festive Day.

The GDP chief also laid stress on preparing the new operational- and strategic-level personnel and other personnel for all-level party congresses for the 2025-2030 period.

He requested on good quality of new recruits and organization of recruitment and tree-planting festivals in 2024.
