Speaking at the working session, Sr. Lt. Gen. Huynh Chien Thang applauded the outcomes obtained by Brigade 229 in performing the task of combat readiness and training, maintaining the efficiency of the activities of counter-terrorism engineering and UXO clearance teams, among others.
In the coming time, Gen. Thang required the unit to promote political and ideological education, draw up training programs and exercises close to reality, focus on personnel work, and raise the quality and efficiency of engineering detachments in counter-terrorism tasks, to name but a few.
* On the same day, a delegation of the General Staff, led by its Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, offered incense and flowers in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at Kim Lien Special National Relic Site and Truong Bon National Historical Relic Site in Nghe An.

Previously, the mission also offered incense and laid flowers at the temple dedicated to late General Secretary Le Duan, and the memorial house for heroes and martyrs in the area of Ke Go Lake (Cam My village, Cam Xuyen district), and Dong Loc Junction historical site (Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province).
* On July 12, a working mission of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and the Ministry of National Defense (MND), led by GS Deputy Chief Major General Pham Truong Son, offered incense and flowers at Vi Xuyen National War Cemetery and the temple in dedication to heroic martyrs in Vi Xuyen Front in Thanh Thuy commune, Ha Giang province.
