* The Grassroots Culture Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with the Vietnam Museum of Military History, Hai Duong province's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism jointly opened an exhibition at the province’s Culture and Art Center.

On display are 75 posters and paintings featuring patriotism and national pride, images of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the current context, and military-civilian ties.

The exhibition will run till December 19 and then will be organized at the headquarters of the Hai Duong provincial Military Command until the end of this year.

* On the same day, Military Region 5 met with 163 retired senior officers in the provinces of Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Dak Lak and Dak Nong.

During the get-together, delegates recalled the glorious history of the VPA over the past 75 years of establishment and development as well as great contributions of the military region’s troops during the national liberation and defense cause.

Also at the event, Lieutenant General Trinh Dinh Thach, Political Commissar of the Military Region 5 Command, briefed delegates on the national, regional and international situations, and military and defense task performances in 2019, and map out the orientation for missions in 2020.

* The General Department of Logistics has recently held a similar gathering. During the event, leaders of the general department briefed delegates on outstanding outcomes of the military logistic sector in 2019 and major missions in 2020.

On this occasion, the leadership of the general department also expressed their deep gratitude to the great contributions of the retired logistic officers and hoped that they would continue setting good examples for the younger generations to follow.

* An exhibition, themed “Military-civilian ties” was organized at the museum of Military Region 9.

The event displayed 200 images, documents and items related to the VPA’s and Military Region 9’s armed forces.

The exhibition will run until January 2020.
