The contest had three sections, namely drafting a monthly action program for a Women’s Union organization, multiple choice test on women work, and writing a paper about and giving presentation of a special subject.

The event aimed to comprehensively review women work and women movements and evaluate the qualification and capabilities of cadres of Women’s Union organizations of agencies and units within the service.

It also provided opportunities for female officers to exchange good experience in women work and women movements.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Political Chief of the service, Senior Colonel Bui Duc Thanh, complimented 30 contestants who are key cadres of Women’s Union organizations across the service. He believed that the contestants with their high sense of responsibility, good qualifications and energy would complete the tests at best.

He also hailed women movements implemented across the service over the past time, such as “Female officers in the whole service promote solidarity, successfully fulfill assigned tasks, and take good care of their families, deserving to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers” in line with the Politburo’s Directive No.5 and the Central Military Commission’s Directive No.87 on enhancing the movement “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morals and lifestyle” and the campaign “Promoting tradition, devoting talent, deserving to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers.”

According to the organizers, although this year’s contest with some more new contents was more demanding, contestants still showed their good knowledge in their written papers.

The contest ended on August 8 and the organizers honored excellent female officers with awards.
