PANO – Female officers in the Vietnam People’s Army have contributed considerably to the “Determined to Win” emulation drive of the whole army and the patriotic emulation movement of women across the country.

This statement was underlined by State President Truong Tan Sang at a reception given for a mission of 55 outstanding female officers, led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the VPA’s General Department of Politics, on May 27th.

In addition, the State President highly valued their achievements in response to the drive “Female officers actively study, creatively work, well complete tasks and build up happy families”.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia thanked State President Truong Tan Sang for his care of the VPA’s female officers, pledged that military people are always loyal to the Party, State, Army and people, and that they would continuously  their highten political stance and professionalism to gain more achievements.

Previously, the mission paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Ba Dinh Square, and offered incense at the Memorial of Heroic Martyrs in Bac Son Street in Hanoi.

In the afternoon of the same day, they attended the Conference for Outstanding Servicewomen in the 2010-2015 period, held by the VPA’s General Department of Politics in the presence of its Director Senior Lieutenant General Ngo Xuan Lich, and other delegates.

The conference, chaired by Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, reviewed and honoured outstanding servicewomen in the whole army in carrying out assigned missions and in responding to the implementation of the Politburo’s Instruction No.3 promoting the study of and the movement to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example, and the five-year campaign “Building up happy families”.

They also and pointed out shortcomings that need to be addressed to gain better results in the coming emulation drives.
