116 sets of remains of fallen soldiers gathered
PANO - During the 2017-2018 dry season, search team K93 of the An Giang Military Command gathered the remains of 116 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who laid down their lives during wartime, according to head of the team Senior Colonel Pham Quang Trung.

Trung added that 78 out of the found remains were discovered in Cambodian provinces of Kampong Speu and Takeo, while the remaining were found in Vietnam.
Among the 38 sets of remains gathered in Vietnam, two were identified. The search team contacted the soldiers’ families so that they could be laid to rest in their hometowns.
As scheduled, all the remains found in the 2017-2018 dry season by search team K93 of the An Giang Military Command and search team K90 of Military Zone 9 will be reburied at the Doc Ba Dac War Cemetery in Tinh Bien district, An Giang province on July 20 on the occasion of the 71st War Invalids’ and Martyrs’ Day (July 27).
