At the meeting, Sr. Capt. Do Minh expressed his sincere appreciation to the Philippine Navy for its warm reception for Frigate 015-Tran Hung Dao.

Sr. Capt.  Do Minh spoke highly of the fine development of the two countries’ diplomatic relations.

He emphasized that on the basis of the strong friendship between the two countries and their defense ministries, cooperation between the two navies has steadily expanded and achieved many positive outcomes. Through reciprocal visits and talks between leaders of the two navies, numerous practical exchange and cooperation activities have been promoted and implemented effectively.

The Vietnamese head delegate expressed confidence that activities during this visit and exchange would further enhance mutual understanding and trust between officers and sailors of the two navies, while strengthening the longstanding friendship and cooperative ties between the two navies.

For his part, Capt. Steve Morata stated that the visit and exchange by the VPN delegation and Frigate 015-Tran Hung Dao would help enhance practical and effective cooperation between the two navies. He hoped that the two navies would expand cooperation in training and officer and cadet exchange programs.
