During the visit, the commanding officers of Frigate 015-Tran Hung Dao briefed the Philippine Navy delegation on the frigate's basic characteristics and operational activities. The tour provided Philippine Navy officers and sailors with a better understanding of the working, training, and living environment of officers and sailors of the VPN.
The visit also provided an opportunity for the two navies to exchange professional expertise and share experience in seamanship, technical support, emergency response, and ship management, thereby contributing to enhancing mutual understanding, building trust and friendship, and improving coordination in future joint maritime activities.

Earlier on July 26 in Manila, the VPN delegation held a meeting on July 26 in Manila, the Philippines and presented gifts to officers aboard Frigate 015 - Tran Hung Dao who are family members of wounded and sick soldiers, in commemoration of the 79th anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers' Day (July 27, 1947 - 2026).
The meeting was chaired by Senior Captain Bui Van Ben, Political Chief of Naval Region 4 Command.

On behalf of the delegation, Sr. Capt. Bui Van Ben presented nine gifts the officers and encouraged them to overcome difficulties to accomplish their tasks. He also expressed gratitude to policy beneficiary families for their contribution to the revolutionary cause and national construction and defense.
The meeting with officers who are relatives of wounded and sick soldiers was particularly meaningful as the delegation was carrying out a defense diplomacy mission in the Philippines. The activity reflected the VPN's gratitude and continued care for families of policy beneficiaries and national contributors.

On the same day, as part of the visit and exchange program between Frigate 015 - Tran Hung Dao and the Philippine Navy, the VPN delegation, led by Sr. Capt. Do Minh, Second-in-Command of Naval Region 4, offered flowers at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument located in the ASEAN Garden within the historic Intramuros district of Manila.
The delegation expressed profound respect and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader of the Vietnamese nation, who devoted his entire life to the struggle for Vietnam's independence and freedom, as well as to the cause of world peace.

The President Ho Chi Minh Monument in the ASEAN Garden is a landmark of significant historical, cultural, and diplomatic value, symbolizing the friendship between Vietnam and the Philippines as well as the spirit of solidarity within the ASEAN Community. It was inaugurated in October 2011 to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Philippines (1976-2011).
