The course lasts from April 12 to 28 at the VNDPKO to provide basic knowledge and skills on U.N. military advisory work at U.N. missions’ headquarters for Vietnamese officers, who are about to join the U.N. peacekeeping operations in the time to come.

The course is held in both online and face-to-face formats with the participation of foreign lecturers from the E.U. and experienced officers of the VNDPKO.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, foreign lecturers are set to join the course virtually.

It is the second time that the GPOI supports a training course for U.N. staff officers in Vietnam. The VNDPKO collaborated with the GPOI to successfully host the first training course for U.N. staff officers in 2017.
