In a sincere and open atmosphere, the Vietnamese delegation watched a short documentary highlighting the glorious history of combat and development, as well as the current crucial missions of the Special Forces Command. Established in 1995 as a regiment, the unit was upgraded to a brigade in 1999 and officially became the Special Force Command in 2020. Notably, during the final stages of the Cambodian civil war, the force played a vital role in directly implementing the win-win policy initiated by Samdech Techo Hun Sen. This contributed to comprehensive peace and national reunification, laying the foundation for Cambodia’s current development.

Senior Colonel Nguyen Quang Huy expressed his impression of the achievements made by the Special Force Command. The official affirmed that the traditional solidarity and friendship between the two militaries are a precious asset carefully nurtured by generations of officers and soldiers. The exchange program not only allows young officers to share experiences in work, training, and unit building, but also enhances mutual understanding, trust, and attachment. Thus, the youths will continue promoting their role in preserving and cultivating the good neighborliness, traditional friendship, and comprehensive, sustainable cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.
